The law grants a Justice of the Peace concurrent jurisdiction with Parish and District Courts on issues regarding the ownership of movable properties. Determination of the value of any motor vehicle shall be based on the retail value as listed in the current National Automobile Dealers Association manual.  There is no value when it comes to vehicles.  I can award possession of any vehicle as long as there is no lien or I can notarize any vehicle.
