JUDGE M.E. "GENE" NICHOLS - BIOGRAPHY

About Judge Nichols

Judge Gene Nichols was elected into office October 2007 with 78% of the vote to fill an unexpired term and ran without opposition in 2008 for a six year term beginning January 1, 2009 .  A native of Shreveport, LA and is married to Beverly Fall Nichols with 4 children and 5 grandchildren.  Attended C. E. Byrd High School, Shreveport-Bossier Vo-Tech Center (Louisiana Technical College), Louisiana State University in Shreveport, Louisiana Tech University, Community College of the U. S. Air Force.  Attended Attorney General’s Justice of the Peace annual education conference each year in office and is District Representative for the Louisiana Justice of the Peace and Constable’s Association.  Serves as an aux. deputy sheriff with the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Served honorably in the US Air Force.  Previous positions held are Service Engineer, Service Manager, Service Salesman, and Applications Manager for Leeds & Northrup/BIF and Honeywell Instrumentation.  Hobbies and outside interests are photography, camping, boating, and traveling.
